Over 300 needy pupils from Shanzu A.I.C  Academy received school uniforms, books  and bags during their school’s 10th anniversary celebrations.

The donation was courtesy of well wishers  from Germany.

According to the church in charge Rev Johano Songok the academy relies on well wishers.

“The school is run under the umbrella of the church management and has survived through well wishers,” he said.

He said the church pursues the students’ enrollment from form one to form four when they complete their education.

“In last year’s KCPE the school had a mean-score of 370 points out of the 17 pupils who sat for the exams,” he pointed out.

Rev Songok said this year they have registered 28 candidates who have enrolled to sit for the national examinations.

One of the well wishers , Judith Zaengue Koch, speaking on behalf of her colleagues, said education is the future for the children and the generation to come in the world network.

She told journalists their community from Germany is ready to support education of needy students.

“We are proud that education plays an important role across the world,” she said.
