If you are a fashion designer, we are sure you have heard about the International Fashion Showcase(IFS), which was established in 2012. Created in partnership with the British Council, it is a platform for new designers to showcase their talent, especially during London fashion week. The aim is to bring fashion from all over the world to London. It has showcased over 600 designers from 70 different countries.

Other brands such as the British Fashion and UAL have partnered with the British Council to provide a programme for the 16 selected designers. They are set to undergo a business development course for about eight months. We arve sure they are as excited as you are while playing the Betway online sports betting app; after all, there is just so much for the taking.

A Look at The International Fashion Showcase Designers 2019 Event

The IFS 2019 will be a bit different for designers. The lucky 16 who have been chosen are set to start in August 2016. They will be showcasing the unique cultures from their respective countries. The six-month-longprogramme will help them learn branding, business development and interact with a wide range of studio artists.

The whole aim of next year's IFS is for designers to learn ethics in fashion and everything about sustainability tech. The studio artists together with experts from London College of Fashion will try and push designers to collaborate with each other before February 2019.

In 2019, Africa will be in luck as three designers from three different countries will represent them. That is Ami DoshiSalah(Kenya), Cedric Mizero(Rwanda) and Thebe Magugu(South Africa). These three designers have something different to offer, and they are set to represent different cultures and their signature feel.

  1. Ami Doshi Shah

She is a trained jewellery and adornment designer. She started the label "I am I' which is an exploration of how adornment can sculpture a body. Her collection is beautiful and striking though a bit unusual.  She gets her inspiration from her love of Kenya and also uses local material. Ami Doshi Shah graduated from the Birmingham School of Fashion and Art in the UK with a BA(Hon). She has had her own set of achievement by winning the Goldsmith's Award for best design(Apprentice Trainee).

  1. Cedric Mizero(Rwanda).

At just the age of 19, this young lad had started showcasing his designs at the Kigali Fashion Week. His designs are unique with them focusing a bit more on the haute culture.

  1. Thebe Magugu(South Africa)

He is a multifaceted designer who mainly focuses on women's wear. He gets his inspiration from the different roles they have played in his life. The clothes are sleek and fashion forward with a silhouette in the African culture.

The winner of the 2019 Fashion week will be chosen from the same panel that selected them. They will be awarded for and recognised for their unique and creative designs.

Congolese Rhumba star Antoine Christophe Agbepa Mumba a.k.a Koffi Olomide has suffered another major blow after being barred from entering Zambia, a country he once referred to as his "second home".

According to reports, this is after some accusations that the artist had assaulted a photojournalist during last tour in the country. He has also been accused of sexually assaulting his dancers, kidnapping them and employing them without valid permits in France.

The French Embassy in Zambia had earlier called for the arrest of the artist over the allegations threatening to seek the help of the Interpol to effect the arrest.

In 2016 Koffi was deported from Kenya after he was caught on camera kicking one of his dancers at the airport.

In 2008, he was accused of kicking a cameraman from DR Congo's private RTGA television station and breaking his camera at a concert in the capital, Kinshasa, following disagreement over recording rights forcing the speaker of the national assembly to intervene and reconcile the two.
