Tanzanian artist Harmonize has for the first come out to reveal the reason why he broke up with his ex girlfriend Jacqueline Wolper.

Harmonize who was performing in Dodoma said Diamond was the main reason why he broke up with Wolper.

According to the  'Uno' hitmaker, Wolper made some moves at Diamond Platnumz promising to bear him a son, Diamond was dating South Africa-based Ugandan socialite Zari and they only had one kid, Latiffah.

“We were at a party at Diamond's house and without shame she made some moves at him. Speaking from my heart, I have never said this but I am saying it so that she knows that I know" said Harmonize.

Adding "She is not aware that I know. She told him she was just with me so she can get close to him. After i had left, Diamond called me and told me to be at his house first thing in the morning. He couldn’t face me so he had to drink alcohol in order to tell me the whole story".

Harmonize noted the reason why he was reaveling this information is beacuse Wolper has been reffering to his Italian wife Sera Michelloti as 'sponspor'.

"I have never told her, I was not planning to, but when you call my wife a sponsor, it hurts. Everytime she appears for a media interview she refers to my wife as a sponsor" noted Harmonize.

He also exposed Wolper for cheating him with several men.

He charged "There is a time I went to the US and she went to Burundi, and there is a guy that was driving her and she told me that he was just a brother and nothing more. Before that, she went to China and I gave her 30 million to take stock for her fashion house. At the time, I didn’t have anything. And when she went there, she was with a man and she told me that she could not date him. Right now, they are lovers, they started dating long time ago".

All this inspired Harmonize rto record the song 'Nimechoka'.

He further revealed that his wife Sera is currently expectant and they are expecting a child anytime soon.

In a previous interview with a local Tanzanian radio station, Wolper accussed harmonize of cheating her with Sera.

"I don’t want to talk much about my ex-relationship with Harmonize, but of all my relationships, he hurt me the most. We never had an issue posting photos of us together on social media. However, when Harmonize asked me not to post photos of my birthday party, which he threw for me, I was suspicious. I later learnt he was back with Sarah"

"Sarah called me demanding to know what I was doing with Harmonize. She also claimed she was pregnant with his baby" she added.

Search engine giant google has honoured Kenyan freedom fighter Mnyazi (Mekatilili) wa Mwenza with a special doodle on it's homepage.

Mekatilili who was from the Mijikenda community  now becomes the fourth Kenyan to be honoured by google after Wangari Mathai, Margaret Ogola, and Kimani Maruge.

Among the many things that Mekatilili is remembered for is the Mepoho’s prophecy which was about the coming of strange people who had hair like sisal fibres and moved in flying vessels as well as those moving on water and land.

Mekatilili's doodle on google

Every August 9, there is an annual celebration in her honour at the Malindi Cultural Festival, this will however not be possible this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic being experienced worldwide.

Mekatilili's leadership contributed to uprisings by the Giriama against the British in 1913 and 1914, and despite her multiple arrests and imprisonments, her campaign of resistance proved successful. This led to  British relaxing control of the region, effectively granting the demands for which Menza and the Giriama had tirelessly fought.

She was born in the Giriama village of Mtsara wa Tsatsu in coastal Kenya during the mid-19th century.  She travelled from village to village spreading messages of opposition, performing the ecstatic native dance of kifudu to draw large crowds and then unleashing her powerful oratory skills to garner support.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has expressed satisfaction with the measures being taken by stakeholders in the hospitality sector to protect tourists from Covid-19.

He said Kenya is ready to receive tourists and, encouraged local and foreign travellers to take advantage of the prevailing low rates to visit the country's famous tourist sites.

"I want to take this opportunity to encourage every single Kenyan to take advantage and to travel...You can travel, you can move," the President said.

"And now as you know, we have also opened up our skies and flights are coming. We welcome all those who choose to come," he added.

President Kenyatta spoke today at State House, Nairobi during a virtual meeting with elite Kenyan marathoner Eliud Kipchoge.

Mr Kipchoge is Kenya's new goodwill ambassador for tourism and is in the Masai Mara Game Reserve with his family to witness this year's annual wildebeest migration.

The President urged Kenyans as well as visitors to continue observing the Covid-19 containment protocols saying safety is not a government responsibility but an individual choice.

"Safety is not really just a Government issue. It is an individual choice. To remain safe and by so doing, keep everybody else safe," he said

The Head of State thanked Mr Kipchoge for choosing to represent his country as a 'Magical Kenya' brand ambassador saying the marathoner's decision was an act of patriotism.

Mr Kipchoge said he was grateful to represent his country as a tourism goodwill ambassador and assured the President that he will do his best to promote the country as a top travel destination.

He encouraged Kenyans to visit the country's tourist destinations saying Covid-19 should not limit people from enjoying the country's tourist attractions.

The virtual meeting was convened by Tourism and Wildlife CS Najib Balala and attended by Narok Governor Samuel Tunai.

Also present were Tourism and Wildlife CAS Joseph Boinnet, Principal Secretaries Safina Kwekwe (Tourism) and Prof Fred Segor (Wildlife) as well as Athletics Kenya Chairman Jackson Tuwei.

CS Balala thanked the Head of State for the Covid-19 stimulus package earmarked for the tourism sector saying part of the money will be used to directly pay rangers in conservancies so as to ensure the country's conservation agenda remains on course.

The Cabinet Secretary said hotels in the Maasai Mara were fully booked for the current high season, mostly by local tourists, and encouraged Kenyans and foreign travellers to visit destinations across the country.

Governor Tunai said his County Government was providing free testing for Covid-19 to all service providers in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve so as to ensure the safety and wellbeing of visitors.

On his part Lt. Gen (Rtd) Jackson Tuwei said Athletics Kenya was working with the Ministry of Tourism and other stakeholders in the sector to promote sports tourism in the country.
