According to a source within the club, Sumra will be served with his release letter during the Tuesday premier league match against defending champions Gor Mahia.

The  source also revealed that  the meeting to sack Sumra was chaired  by the football club chief executive officer Edward Oduor.

"The full house meeting unanimously resolved to sack him on allegations he is behind the club's poor performance and for insulting players and being unfriendly to them" said the source

The Mombasa International Cultural festival which had been scheduled for 23rd to 26th August has now been postponed to a later date.

According to a public notice from the County Executive in charge of Youth, Gender, sports and Cultural affairs Munywoki Kyalo, the extravaganza has been postponed due to 'unavoidable circumstances'.

"We regret to inform the general public and stakeholders of the Mombasa International Cultural festival that due to unavoidable circumstances, the extravaganza scheduled for the 23rd to 26th of August 2018 has been postponed to a later date that will be communicated" reads the notice.

Ommy Dallah has however established that power struggle between the departments of culture and tourism all under the Youth, Gender, Sports and cultural affairs ministry and which have since been separated is the main reason for the postponement.

The two departments each with its own Chief officer have been fighting on who to host  the event.

"There has been alot of infighting on who to take charge of the event between the two departments but lets just wait and see how things will turn out" said a source who spoke on condition of anonymity.
