The Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) was the place to be as people gathered to witness the second edition of the Choma Na Ngoma Festival on Friday evening (eve of Madaraka aday), courtesy of Radio Maisha and Standard Media Group.
The musical extravangaza celebrated the diversity of various African cultures from food, drinks and great music.Artists like Hart the Band,Alicious and Sauti Sol did a great job to entertain the over zealous crowd.
The three artists who were the talk of the town were Patoranking from Nigeria(as the main act) whose dance moves, musical prowess and creativity caused ripples on social media as he performed all his hit songs like 'Suh Different',''Girlie O'',''My Woman My Everything'' including new songs from his brand new album -Wilmer.
He lived upto all the hype and fused all styles of music to give his Kenyan fans an unforgettable experience. He performed with his eight man band which includes his deejay.
Nandy and Willy Paul were the stars of the night,as they danced, sang, grinded on each other seductively, flirted openly and gave their hearts and souls to their performances also backed up by live bands and dancers.
Willy Paul's performance though was quite controversial when he tried to light up a blunt onstage, had his female dancers twerk and gyrate their bodies on him in short dresses and hot pants as he grinded on them as well then letting Nandy touch and feel ''his goods'' as he serenaded her in the song ''Njiwa'' and "Halleluyah" on a live bed...talk about bedroom matters exposed.
He even trended that night at number one on twitter with his super fans praising him for being the biggest performer of the night and stepping out of his comfort zone.
The Mcs for the night Mc Phillipo,Mwende Macharia,Sugar Bwoy and afew others. It was an epic night out.
