Journalists Left In Disbelief As Harmonize Walks Out Of A Press Conference In Nairobi Featured

Kenyan entertainment journalists in Nairobi were last evening left cursing after Tanzanian artist Harmonize walked out of a press conference ahead of the release party of his new song 'Uno', this despite keeping the journalists waiting for more than one hour.

The press conference had been pushed three times, the first communication from the PR firm handling the media briefing Clientele PR was that the press conference was to take place at 11 am at the Blue Door VIP lounge only for it to be pushed to 3 pm, the PR firm then sent a message to journalists that the briefing  has been pushed to 7 pm and not 3 pm.

The message read" Trust you are well, this is a polite reminder that Harmonize UNo Presser will be going down from 7pm at Blue Door Lounge, Kenrail Towers. Kindly note the change of timings. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. Bitings and drinks will be served. Kind Regards"

Journalists were at the venue of the press conference by 7 pm seated waiting for Harmonize who showed up minutes after 8 pm together with his team including 4 bodyguards his managers and other members of the team.

He addressed the media for only less than four minutes, answering only two questions demanding not to be asked about his former label WCB. He walked out of the room immediately after speaking  leaving a journalist who had stood to ask  a question hanging.

A representative of the PR firm tried to intervene asking him to accord the press a one on one interview but he refused.

Journalists at the room were left in disbelief as others took to social to express their anger and rant.

"Kenyans lets support our own. This likes of Harmonize are trash, ile madharau this nigga ameonyesha media" posted one of the female journalists.

He later showed up at citizen for an interview with Willis Raburu on 10 over 10.

At the club where he was hosting the release party  things were not different, revelers were kept waiting  only for him to appear at 3 am.He only performed for one hour before leaving. No one was allowed to take photos with him.

Speaking to Ommy Dallah, one of the revelers revealed "I was denied the opportunity to take photos with him despite winning a free ticket which also included a photo opportunity with him".

Adding" The club photographer had told me to make sure that I dress well for the photo session which did not even happen, I was very disappointed "

No journalist was present at the club to cover the party as a sign of protest following the earlier incident at Blue Door.

Harmonize is currently on a tour to promote his new song 'Uno', he was in Daresalaam on Thursday, he will be in Kampala tonight.
