Prominent Leaders from around the world converged at the National Museums’’ of Kenya in Nairobi to witness Great African Leaders in various spheres of influence who have made substantial contribution towards the advancement of Africa and its people, get honored at the Voice Achievers Awards.
Kevin who is an exemplary Pan African Entrepreneur and Philanthropist revolutionizing the Media & Entertainment industry in Kenya and Africa at Large received the prestigious Award- The African Entertainment Promoter for the year 2019.
A former DJ, Kevin has been running the most prestigious Gospel Awards Ceremony in Africa-Groove Awards for 14 years. He also runs NRG Radio, Choice Radio, FunX, Film Studios and MoSound Events the leading brand experiential company in the region amongst other companies
On receiving the award, Kevin thanked his team for supporting his vision which he termed as amazing.
He added that his vision belongs to the people, “I believe that a vision is given to a man but belongs to the people and I thank God for giving me a vision that I gave back to the young people of this Country and Africa. Young people, let us discover our passion and fast. If we discover, we are able to achieve much more”, He added.
Other awardees feted for being outstanding in various fields of human endeavor across Africa included His Excellency, Rt Hon ( Eng) Raila Amolo Odinga, Her Excellency, Mrs Isaura Nyusi First Lady of the Republic of Mozambique, Hon. Esther Muthoni Passaris OGW, Hon Ababu Terrah Namwamba EGH, Angel Wanjiru Ngugi, Ambassador Dr. Josephine Ojiambo, Thomas Kwaka, Elias Makori, Dr. Kifefe Kizza-Besigye, His Excellency , Gov Kivutha Kibwana amongst others
The Deputy President William Ruto who graced the event lauded Voice Achievers Awardees for the positive role they continue to play in the society. He singled out Kevin noting that he was an outstanding young Kenyan and was proud to note that he was amongst those that received an Award.
He further thanked Ambassador Elvis for choosing Kenya as the first venue for the Pan African annual event that seeks to recognize individuals and organization that have made a difference in Africa.
Ambassador Elvis congratulated winners and noted he was proud of their achievements. He added that he hoped the honor and recognition will power them to continue doing what they are doing to make a difference in the continent.
Kevin who is known for his wealth of Wisdom, Humility and Disruptive-Over the top ideas also joined the list of inducted HALL OF FAME of the Voice Achievers Award 2019.
