Top Artists In Jomvu Receive One-year Audio Recording Contract From Mp Twalib Featured

Jomvu member of parliament Badi Twalib has offered a one-year audio recording contract to top performing artists in his constituency following a talent search event organized by the BT Records studio in collaboration with the Badi Twalib Foundation.

Addressing the media during the event, Twalib said that the artists will now be able to record their songs with ease also promising to support them to shoot their videos.

The Jomvu Talent Extravaganza event which took place on 30th December at Mikindani Primary School under the theme ‘Talent for sustainable development’, saw a number of youth drawn from the constituency showcase their talents in Singing, rapping and dancing among others.

Twalib said that the event was also meant to create awareness to the artists about the studio he initiated through the Jomvu NG-CDF and his foundation solely focused on nurturing grass-root talents within his constituency.

“I want to ensure these artists my unconditional support, we shall ensure that the top artists get a one year audio recording contract with BT records and we shall also organize how they will shoot their video to ensure that they get to the top and be recognized countrywide as big artists coming from Jomvu,” said Twalib

He also extended his appreciation to Mombasa governor Hassan Joho and Mvita Legislature Abdulswamad Nassir for extending their support towards the success of the event.

He promised that they shall continue to partner and work together to nature and promote more talents in Jomvu and Mombasa at large with him as MP and Nassir as the next county governor.

“We organized this event with the aim of promoting local talents, it’s important to take note that we have an audio recording studio in Jomvu that maybe many artists are not aware of. We are here to market it and tell them that they can make use of it to record their audio tracks,” said Twalib.

He added that he was going to take a personal initiative as the area Mp to approach all media houses in the country to play their music to enable the artists get exposure and recognition countrywide as artists coming from Jomvu constituency.

Twalib further thanked the youth and his constituents for the support they have continued to accord him for always turning up in large numbers to events organized by his office especially this month that he has had a series of activities.

“As your area Mp, I will take it as a personal responsibility to make sure that I get in touch with all media houses in the country to get you exposure and be seen both in the country and outside that Jomvu is capable of producing big artists,” he said.

He further continued to urge the constituents to shun politics of violence and maintain peace as the country approaches the 2022 general elections saying that elections will come and go and as such they should not allow politics to divide them.

“I want to take an early opportunity to wish you a happy new year 2022 ahead, my clarion call to you still remains the same, don’t allow politics to divide us, let us vote wisely and peacefully. It is important that we remain united as Jomvu people,” said Twalib.
