The family, friends, colleagues and fans of popular Mombasa based actress Pretty Mutave are in mourning after she passed on early Tuesday morning (Today) on her way to the Coast general hospital for treatment.

According to reports, Pretty who acted on Moyo where she played Waridi , Aziza (Dee), Maza (Zari) , Udhalimu among other local programmes had been sick since March this year.

Colleagues have mourned the actress as a great talent gone too soon.

"We had plans but God had better plans ...Rest well. Rest with the Angels pretty. Inallilahi wa ina illayhi Rajiun," posted Lulu Hassan.

Rashid Abdallah posted "#Sisemikitu japo kazi ya mungu haina makosa lakini msiba hauna mazoea. @prettymutave kipaji chako kikawe nuru kwa malaika. Mola ailaze roho yako pema peponi inshallah. Heshima na kipaji chako vitadumu milele."

On her part another colleague, Kibibi Salim posted ''Rest easy dear".

In 2017, the Coast film industry lost another great actress Maureen Wanza who died while giving birth at a hospital in Kilifi.
