Tanzanian musician Benard Paul Mnyang’anga aka Ben Pol has officially confirmed that he is divorcing his Kenyan wife Anerlisa Muigai.
Through an official statement posted on his instagram page, without mentioning Arnelisa, the artist revealed that the divorce proceedings are in progress at a primary court in Daresalaam, Tanzania.
"At this time, Ben Pol would like to confirm that his divorce proceedings are in progress at the primary court but have not yet been finalised" reads the statement.
Adding "These proceedings are a very private matter and he will not discuss any details out of respect for all parties involved".
The 'Moyo Mashine' hitmaker asked for privacy and space as the proceedings continue thanking his family, friends and fans for their support.
His statement comes just a day after Arnelisa hinted that the divorce process is done.
In an Instagram story, Anerlisa said what was needed to be done was done.
"I would like to make it clear that I signed whatever needed to be signed and I do not wish to be associated with anyone. My focus right now is my career and peace." she wrote.
The Keroche heiress has since dropped Ben Pol’s official name 'Mnyang’anga' from her social media platforms, where she used to identify herself as 'Anerlisa Muigai Mnyang’anga', and no longer wears her wedding ring.
The two tied the knot in May 2020 at St Gaspar Catholic Church in Mbezi Beach, Tanzania, in an event that was attended by close friends and family.
