Award-Winning Singer Songwriter Lady Zamar has just revealed her upcoming Album Cover and dropped the Album Title – Monarch!

The album, which is set for release later in the month of June, is cleverly titled Monarch following the success of her first solo project King Zamar.

In her big reveal, Lady Zamar has given fans a preview of Monarch by also dropping the tracklist from the upcoming album.

Monarch - which means a sovereign head of state, especially a King, Queen, or Emperor; will host 20 tracks all written and produced by Lady Zamar and features RnB singer Tellaman on Low Low and rapper Rapsody on Freedom.

Co-writers on the album include Moonchild Sanelly on Fat Girl; Msaki on Freedom; & DJ Choice on More and More.

The album cover symbolizes the transformation from her previous album King Zamar to the upcoming project,Monarch.

Keeping in line with a royal theme, the cover shows off clever imagery of the singer resembling the Monarch Butterfly - a large migratory orange and black butterfly.

In excitement to reveal the album, Lady Zamar had this to say “Finally Monarch is here! I’m so thrilled to share my album title and my album cover with my fans – the Zamartians!”

She went on to add “I have been working on this album for over a year, and I can’t wait for fans to hear this 20 track project!”

Monarch will be available for Pre-Order this Friday 07 June 2019, be sure to check out the lead single from the Album – This Is Love here.

Popular South Africa House music vocalist Nichume Swindla is dead.

The musician is said to have thrown herself from the second floor balcony of a building in Johannesburg after complaining that she was having some serious problems.

"It is alleged that she threw herself from the second floor's balcony after she had been complaining that she had problems but didn't reveal  to her friends," said police spokesperson Neldah Sekgobela.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Nichume's brother, Qamani Siwundla, said: "We, as a family are in absolute shock as to what has happened. Learning that your sister has succumbed to emotions and taken her own life can never rest well. We obviously are left with a lot of questions but also know that she had one of the strongest characters in the family. Whatever she was feeling at that moment triggered immense hopelessness. We stand united as a family during this difficult time. Nichume was so loved and appreciated. We are proud of all her achievements."

The  27-year-old singer from East London was an accomplished musician and worked as an assistant to an ophthalmologist. She shot to stardom when she lent her voice to Mobi Dixon's hit single Bhutiza and later featured on singles Daydreaming by Fistaz Mixwell and Far Away by DJ Anda featuring Mobi Dixon.

Leila Kayondo Set To Drop New Video

Sassy Ugandan singer Leila Kayondo is expected to release a new video this week.

The new video titled 'Acrobat' is expected to be out by Friday.

Watch the teaser below.

The first edition of the Tomorrow's leaders festival charity event organised by Grammy winning band Morgan Heritage went down last night at the Kasarani stadium Nairobi.

The festival saw performances from several artists including Kenyan artists Wyre, Jua Cali, Naiboi and Femi One. Jose Chameleone represented Uganda, Stonebwoy (Ghana), Stanley Enow(Cameroon), Alaine ( Jamaica) together with Morgan Heritage who were the last to perform.

However, two of the main acts who were expected to perform at the show, Diamond Platnumz and Yemi Alade did not show up raising alot of concern and noise from the fans. At one time the revellers kept on shouting Diamond's name chanting 'We want Simba',.

While on stage performing, one of the Morgan Heritage brothers Peetah Morgan explained to the crowd why Diamond did not show up.

"Apologies from Simba, he is not feeling well but he is here in Nairobi. When a man is sick you got to show sympathy, if you love simba say rasta" he said.

In an interview with Ommy Dallah, Diamond's manager Salaam Mendez revealed that they will be addressing the issue today through Diamond's social media pages.

"Diamond will address the issue tomorrow through his social media, so don't worry" said Salaam.

In another interview, Gramps Morgan insinuated that Yemi Alade was not feeling well too.

"The weather here is not good.Diamond is from a very busy tour. Yemi got sick".

Earlier on Kenyan artists were seen gathered in one place at the backstage looking disturbed and did not want to perform. It turned out the artists were demanding for their pay before taking to the stage, it took the intervention of one of the ladies from the organisers to convince them to perform promising that they will be sorted.

The festival is also expected to take place again next year.

"Someone asked me why we chose Kenya and I asked him why not Kenya. Expect big things next year" Gramps Morgan told the crowd

President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent a message of condolence and encouragement to the family, relatives and friends of veteran radio broadcaster Mohammed Juma Njuguna who died today at a Nairobi hospital.

President Kenyatta described the highly decorated radio journalist as a refined broadcaster and a trailblazer who used his role in the mass media to inform and entertain Kenyans, especially through his moving football commentaries.

“We are filled with grief and a deep sense of loss. Mohammed was an outstanding journalist. He was a good and inspiring figure in the media industry, and a great mentor to upcoming journalists,” the President eulogised.

“At this moment of sorrow, our thoughts and prayers are with Mohammed Juma Njuguna’s family, relatives and friends,” he added.

The late Njuguna was awarded the Head of State Commendation (HSC) in 2010 for his immense contribution to the development of broadcast journalism in the country.

The President prayed to God to comfort the family of the late Mohammed Juma Njuguna and give them the strength and grace to bear with the loss.

Redsan Is Back With 'Back it up'

After serving fans with 'Rio'. Kenyan Dancehall artist Redsan a.k.a The Dancehall Baba is back with another song.

The song is titled 'Back it up'.

Watch the video below

Popular coast based female musician Mwanaisha Abdallah a.k.a Nyota Ndogo has been missing from the music scene for sometime now, an issue that has also raised alot of concern from her fans.

Well in a chat with Ommy Dallah, Nyota Ndogo has revealed the reason behind her silence.

"Yes i have not released a song for a very long time. I have been busy with construction, i'm in the process of constructing four new houses" she said

Adding " I bought a plot in Kasarani from the money that i made during the campaign period. I constructed a house for my mum in the plot and there was space remaining and its where am constructing the other 4 houses. In total i will now be having 9 houses including the 5 other ones that i first constructed. They are all rental."

She however has some good news to her fans, she will soon be releasing her new videos which are ready.

"I have already shot four videos, they are already and its now just a matter of when to release them. I will let you know when i will be releasing them once i decide on the date. All the videos have been shot within Taita Taveta County".

Kelechi Africana has found himself in problem with his neighbours at the Olonyori estate in Syokimau, Nairobi.

In a group whatsapp chat seen by Ommy Dallah, the neighbours complain about Kelechi's behaviour of playing loud music while in the house.

Kelechi goes ahead to defend himself that he relies on music as a producer and an artist.

One of the neighbours who seems well acquitted with sound production advised him to use acoustics to void the noise and trouble with other neighbours.

Speaking to Ommy Dallah, a neighbour who did not want to be mentioned said "His house is a two bedroom and we suspect he has transformed one of the bedrooms into a studio".

Meanwhile the artist is currently enjoying his new marriage life, he got married to his Ugandan lover Rukia Najma on Thursday in Mombasa. http://ommydalla.co.ke/buzz/item/1060-kelechi-ties-knot-with-ugandan-girlfriend
