Bandari FC Unveils New Head Coach Featured

Former AFC Leopards and Rayon Sports tactician Andre Casa Mbungo is now the new head coach for Mombasa based Football Kenya Federation Premier League side, Bandari Fc.

Mbungo was unveiled by the club on Monday morning at a brief ceremony held at the Mbaraki sports club.

The Rwandese national has penned a two year deal with the club taking over from Ken Koth who joined Sofapaka.

Speaking during the ceremony, Bandari vice chairman Bernard Osero said they are confident the new coach will lead the club to victory.

"We did not go far to look for a coach, he is just from Rwanda one of our fellow member countries in the East Africa community. We looked at his CV and he is of course qualified to take over and lead our team to greater heights." said Osero.

On his part, Mbungo noted that apart from winning trophies, having different players from Mombasa who have also passed through Bandari Fc in the national team is part of his priority and goal.

Mbungo charged "You can't call yourself a coach when only one or two players are in their national teams, we will work hard in getting more players at the national level. I believe Mombasa has alot of talents and I will work closely with also young players to achieve this".

Abdallah Hassan is currently the only player from Bandari Fc playing for Harambee stars.

Apart from the new coach, there are other changes that the club has so far made in it's technical beach.

Daniel Lenjo who was in charge of the young team Bandari Youth is now the assistant coach, former team manager Wilson Oburu is now the goalkeeper trainer taking over from Razak Siwa whose contract has since expired. Nasoro Mwakoba who was the assistant coach has also left the club after his contracted expired.
