Bandari Fc, Kariobangi Sharks qualify for SportPesa Cup Semi Finals in Daresalaam Featured

Two Kenyan football teams pulled major upsets against Tanzanian teams to qualify for the semi finals of the third edition of Sportpesa Cup tournament in Dar es Salaam.
 
Bandari from Mombasa and making their debut in the tournament cruised 1-0 past Tanzanian Mainland Premier League side Singida to become the first team to qualify for the Friday's semifinals.
 
William Wadri scored for the dockers at the 69 th minute through a penalty that was awarded to them after Singida's defender Boniface Maganga was adjudged to have intercepted Moses Mudavadi's cross in the box with his right arm.
 
Bandari will face the winner between Simba and Afc Leopards in their next game.
 
The upset of the day was Kariobangi Sharks when they bundled out Tanzanian soccer giants Yanga FC 3-2 in a a scrappy quarter final match. 
 
Duke Abuya scored two goals for the sharks with the third one coming from George Abege . Heritier Makambo and Amisi Tambwe scored for the Yanga side.
 
Sharks will now play the winner between champions Gor Mahia FC and Tanzanian debutant Mbao FC.
 
Other two Kenyan football giants Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards will be in action tomorrow  at the same venue. K'Ogalo face Mbao while AFC Leopards will be up against Tanzanian soccer champions Simba FC
