Nairobi played host to Mr Daniel Dyer, the Global Brand Ambassador of Grant’s Blended Scotch Whisky— the world’s third largest blended Scotch brand. During his recent stay in the city, he unveiled the new look Grant’s Triple Wood – for the first time in Africa and shared his vast knowledge and experience on the collective process and skills involved in developing the complex flavors behind the new look whisky with bartenders, distributors, bar owners, influencers and consumers a the Grant’s Triple Wood Reveal event and an intimate Trade Partners Appreciation Dinner.

Mr. Dyer spoke of the new look bottle, “The new look Grant’s Whisky is bold, unapologetic and ambitious and it takes a 198 pairs of hands to make every single bottle of Grants. We chose Nairobi as the first city in Africa to launch our whisky as we celebrate our Triple Wood journey with our Kenyan friends and family which maintains our exceptional taste, with a new global brand refresh.’’

During the events held between 8th - 12th Nov 2018, the attendees drawn from Kenya’s top influencers and trade partners had an engaging experience with Dyer as he shared more about Grant’s new distinctive and refreshed bottle, facilitated by the emcee of the night Mike Wachira. The guests were also treated to a signature range of Grant’s Whisky cocktails.

Having been in the whisky industry for a decade now, Mr. Dyer has mastered his trade and has a practical understanding of the art and science behind whisky making. To become the brand’s latest Global Ambassador, Daniel, and 5000 other applicants, entered the ‘Greatest Job Interview in the World’ in 2017 – a global recruitment competition by Grant’s.

The daring ambassador traveled the world in 10 days, putting his wealth of experience within the industry to the test. His travel echoes the legendary trip taken in 1909 by Charles Grant Gordon, the son in law of the founder of Grant’s Whisky, William Grant.
